Rebecca Romijn, an American actress who was a former model, is most well-known for playing the role of Mystique in the initial three-part episode' of the American superhero series X-Men. Romijn was a part of the Marvel filmtitled "The Punisher", in which she portrayed Joan. Romijn began her modeling career at sixteen. She has since been a model for major corporations like Christian Dior Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret. She spent 10 years modeling for top fashion houses prior to giving up to pursue an acting profession. Romijn has enjoyed a much better career on television than in Hollywood. She starred as 'Alexis Mead' in the drama comedy "Ugly Betty," and later Jessie Nichols on The NTSF SD SUV.' She also appeared in the series 'King and Maxwell' and in 'The Librarians.'
