Anna Paquin has been a New Zealand-Canadian film, theatre, and TV actress for more than 20 years. It was not her intention to become an actress but destiny decided to change her plans. She turned down many job offers following the success of her first film to pursue her studies. However, at age 14 when she was 14, she returned into the industry of film, accepting roles in 'Jane Eyre' and 'Fly away home. Then, in 2000, she portrayed the powerful mutant 'Rogue who was a character in 'XMen which was the very first film in the 'X-Men' film series and brought her international recognition. She continued to play 'Rogue in 'X-Men,' and also playing the character again in sequels like X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. The actress has also been seen on smaller screens, including as Elaine Goodale, in a film titled 'Bury My Heart' at Wounded Knee. In the role she played she received nominations for her very first 'Emmy. Soon after did she begin receiving offers from producers of TV to appear in TV shows such as "True Blood" and "Flack."
